Launch 7pm Thu 17 July 2025 Entry Free but RSVP essential Location Cultural Unit, Block 2, Coopers Cross, Dublin 1
An exceptional new cultural venue opens in Dublin next July 17th and you are welcome to join the celebrations. Spaces are limited and tickets will be randomly allocated amongst those who registered their interest before 5pm on 1st July.
The inaugural exhibition, Foreword, presents works by 17 artists brought together in conversation to underline the curatorial concerns that the International Centre for the Image will be dedicated to.
PhotoIreland and the Archive of Modern Conflict, a remarkable archive dedicated to an investigation of life through the photographic image, have joined forces to bring to Ireland for the first time over 60 titles from their extensive catalogue, drawn from both collections.
Following the launch, on 18-19 July, In Conversation presents a set of public talks at the International Centre for the Image, providing context, interpretations, and perspectives to help all audiences engage with and understand the artworks presented at the centre. Rethinking the Image is the first event in the series.
