Today, 17th July 2026, marks an exciting milestone as the International Centre for the Image celebrates its first anniversary!
Over the past year, the Centre has grown into a vibrant space for conversations about photography, visual culture, and the power that images hold in shaping how we see the world. Through exhibitions, talks, workshops, fairs, collaborations, and research, we’ve welcomed artists, photographers, students, researchers, publishers, and visitors from Ireland and beyond. Every exhibition visited, every event attended, and every conversation shared has helped shape the Centre into what it is today.
As we mark our first anniversary, we want to thank everyone who has supported us. Thank you to our artists, partners, volunteers, audiences, members, and friends.
Thank you to Kennedy Wilson, to the Arts Council of Ireland, and PhotoIreland’s Board of Directors. Your curiousity, generousity, and enthusiasm have made this journey possible.
We look forward to welcoming many more visitors, presenting exciting exhibitions, fostering new collaborations, and continuing to champion the importance of photography and visual culture in the years ahead.
Here’s to our first year, and to everything that’s still to come!
