Terms and Conditions

These are the terms and conditions under which Photo Ireland Festival CLG (PhotoIreland) operates memberships for the International Centre for the Image.
These terms and conditions apply to any purchase of the International Centre for the Image membership.
Any misuse of membership privileges, including sharing membership details, may result in suspension or termination of benefits without refund.

General

Membership grants you access to the benefits outlined on our website at the time of purchase.
Membership benefits are subject to change at PhotoIreland’s discretion. Updates to benefits will be communicated via email.
Payment is required in full at the time of purchase.
All memberships are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
If you do not renew your membership, it will expire automatically after one year.
Memberships must be up-to-date to avail of benefits.
Benefits cannot be carried over to the following year.
Cards are non-transferable, and members will be asked to present an accompanying ID when availing of benefits associated with their membership.
Unless specified, memberships are strictly for one member and not plus ones. Memberships and Benefits are non-transferable.
PhotoIreland reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated directly to members. Continued use of your membership after changes to Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.
The membership fee includes 13.5% VAT.

Benefits

The dates for Members’ Curatorial Tours, Annual Members Event, and Artist Studio Visits are set by the International Centre for the Image.
The dates for the VIP Curatorial Tour and the private visit of the PhotoIreland Collection will be negotiated with the Member.
The Library is open Tuesday-Sunday 11am-5:30pm, with Member hours being 1-3pm every day. Member hours at the Library are strictly for members only.
Discounts in the museum shop and The Library Project extend only to stationery, publications, and selected merchandise. It does not include any type of prints, posters, or artworks.
The 25% venue hire discount extends to either of PhotoIreland’s cultural venues, The Library Project or the International Centre for the Image. 23% VAT is added to all hire costs.
All benefits can be availed of once per year, with the exception of shop discounts.

Privacy and Data Protection

We respect your privacy and will handle your personal data in accordance with GDPR and our Privacy Policy.
By purchasing a membership, you consent to us storing and using your information to manage your membership and provide related services.

Cancellation of Membership

As a consumer, when you purchase a membership, you are entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period under EU consumer protection laws. During this period, you may cancel your membership for a full refund, provided you have not accessed any membership benefits. After the 14 days, membership fees are non-refundable. Your legal right to cancel the membership with a full refund starts from the date of payment.

You may cancel your membership at any time; however, no refunds will be provided for the unused portion of your membership. If a member chooses to cancel their membership partway through a year, no part-refund is available.

Revocation of Membership

Any misuse of membership privileges, including sharing membership details, may result in suspension or termination of benefits without financial compensation.
PhotoIreland reserves the right in its sole discretion to terminate your membership without financial compensation if, in its reasonable opinion, you behave in a way that is considered to be harassing, causing distress or inconvenience to other members, or any member of PhotoIreland staff.

All membership cards remain the property of PhotoIreland and shall be revoked without compensation in the following circumstances:
– If the membership card is sold, loaned, gifted, or given away.
– If any attempt is made to sell, loan, gift, or give away a membership card.
– The membership card has been purchased through illegal methods (including, but not limited to, the use of fraudulent debit/credit cards).
