About the Artists
Elisa Miralles is a Spanish photographer and visual artist with a background in Chemical Engineering. She began her career in 2006 after receiving a scholarship from World Press Photo to participate in the Urban Youth project in Manila, Philippines. This international experience marked the beginning of her exploration of documentary photography and her interest in how identity is constructed in relation to the social environment.
Her work examines the image we project and how we inhabit the body within a society that shapes our behavior and desires. From a critical perspective, her practice addresses themes such as gender stereotypes, inherited imaginaries, body representation, and the boundaries between public and private spheres.
She has received several awards, including the first prize in FotoPres by Fundación La Caixa and the Unicaja Photography Prize in Almería. Her work has been widely exhibited both nationally and internationally in venues such as the Museo Lázaro Galdiano, Sala Canal de Isabel II, Rina Bouwen Gallery, and Galería Nueva in Madrid; the El Greco Museum and Tolmo Gallery in Toledo; Caixaforum Barcelona; MUVIM in Valencia; and the Fotomuseum Winterthur in Switzerland.

Enrique Fraga is a Spanish photographer whose work explores the relationship between lived experience, perception, and visual narrative. His engagement with photography began in childhood with a fully manual Zenit camera—an early passion that laid the foundation for his lifelong connection to the medium. After dedicating two decades to a professional career in the software industry, Fraga rekindled his interest in photography in 2009, joining the Blankpaper School in Madrid. There, he was mentored by Óscar Monzón and Fosi Vegue and further developed his artistic vision through workshops with Laia Abril, David Jiménez, Erik Kessels, Ricky Dávila, and Antoine d’Agata. These experiences profoundly shaped his way of seeing and deepened his commitment to exploring photography as a personal and expressive language. Fraga’s main project, Platform, has been presented in multiple forms: as an audiovisual piece at the Madrid Film Festival (2014), in solo and group exhibitions, and as a photobook. The book version was selected for the Dummy Photobook Award at Fever 2015 and exhibited at CentroCentro. Published by Dalpine, Platform was later recognized by El País as one of Spain’s best photobooks of 2021 and was featured in both the Athens Photo Festival and PhotoEspaña, where it was nominated among the photobooks of the year (2021–2022). Enrique Fraga continues to develop his artistic practice as an ongoing process of discovery, using photography to articulate and reflect upon his experience of the world.
