First published in 2013, issues two, three and four were each published two years after the other. Issue five is forthcoming. On Flora is focused on “plants and flowers” – two separate things, obviously – and how humans live with them. Issue one is sold out, the other issues are available for purchase in the zine shop, along with a PDF file of the initial publication.

About the Artist
Alison Baitz graduated from Simmons University, studying children’s literature and library and information science. She has also received a bachelor’s degree in magazine journalism from Syracuse University. On the side, she has also worked as a freelance writer. Her professional interests include critical librarianship, art, book history, library and special collections outreach, zines and self-publishing, Wikipedia editing and training, LIS labour issues, open access, open educational resources, services to underserved populations, promoting equity through library resources and programming, diverse (children’s) books, women authors, and synthesising information using graphic design.
