I. The product is an immediate reflection of the process. Process equals product. Il. The human organism, the condition of being human is the focus of the work. Ill. All human emotions, states of mind, dysfunctions and positive qualities eventually become manifest in the body. IV. Creating character by working in two directions from the outside in and from the inside out, exploring both directions! V. Using whatever is necessary to tell the story. Song, dance, spoken word, imagery, music; all are valid means of self expression and each means has its place in the work of the Fabulous Beast. VI. The creative process is a continuous one. VII. The work must be given the chance to express itself. Words confine the work and force it to become dependent on them. VII. There is a direct connection between body, mind and breath. IX. An actor or dancer with an intelligent body and a stupid mind is no better or no worse then an actor or dancer with an intelligent mind and a stupid body. Both are only half formed. X. All participants should work in a manner that facilitates a fearless and thorough examination of the self. It is only possible to know another when one knows oneself. XI. It is only possible to fully become another when one can fully become oneself. XIl. Any movement or action which diminishes or violates the artist is thrown out. The work should elevate the creator, performers and the audience. XIll. Anything which is not of vital importance to the integrity of the work should not be included in the work.
