Native of Detroit, the Motown (Motor Town), Don Hudson had the heyday of the automobile which was then the Michigan region of global production. Three major U.S. automakers, General Motors, Ford and Chrysler also have their headquarters in the Detroit area.

About the Artist
Don Hudson (1950) is an American photographer, born in Detroit, Michigan. In 1972, he decided to act on his love of photography and enrolled in art school at what is now called College for Creative Studies. Back when he attended (1972-1974) it was called the Detroit Society of Arts and Crafts.
He studied the language, both the history and the history-in-making, honed his technical skills, and most importantly, began an association with like-minded souls playing the game of photography. Don only stayed two years, but one of the most important things he learned during that time was the ability to imagine a lifetime engagement with the photographic experience.
For 40 years, through peaks and valleys of activity, his playing of the game has been about his personal relationship with how the camera describes the appearance of truth in a photograph. A book of his photographs from the last century, From The Archives, has recently been published in France.
