
The Library at the International Centre for the Image
The Library at the International Centre for the Image is a specialist research library dedicated to photography and image culture. The library holds a large selection of photobooks, magazines, journals, catalogues, newsprints, zines, artist publications, ephemera and critical resources, including thousands of items from the PhotoIreland Collection.

Book your visit to the Library
The International Centre for the Image hosts every week free group visits of all sizes and interests, scheduling guided tours for small and large groups alike–within and outside opening hours. To best accommodate your needs, these must be booked in advance. Likewise, walk-in and casual browsing is welcome when the space is available, but it is advised that all research visits are booked in advance to guarantee access. Scanner & Computer Access
The Library provides access to a guest computer for research and an Epson Perfection V850 Pro photographic scanner with film holders for a range of formats. Use of the scanner must be arranged in advance and is subject to availability. To enquire about scanner access, please contact library @ image.museum and wait for confirmation before attending.
Donate to the Collection
The Library welcomes donations of material that supports research into photography and image culture, including photobooks, magazines, journals, catalogues, zines, artist publications, ephemera and related resources.
If you would like to propose a donation, please complete the donation enquiry form. Submission of the form does not guarantee acceptance; all donations are reviewed based on relevance, condition, and the needs of the collection.
