The theme of the book is the hidden stories behind the ostensibly desolate space of a mid-20th century low rise and sprawling industrial estate. It comprises essays, poetry, photography and a brief history of the estate and the British builder behind this mid- 1960s development. Thematically the publication challenges how we perceive what are sometimes called ‘non- places’ and opens up discussions on 20th century industrial heritage and fluidity in urban environments.
