Birds of Paradise takes vintage bird prints and reimagines them into a series of colourful and vibrant visual compositions. It explores visual perception and the reinterpretation of archival material.

About the Artist
Justin Larkin (b. 1984, Dublin, Ireland) received his MA in printmaking from the Royal College of Art London (2011) and acquired BA in printmaking from the National College of Art and Design in Ireland (2009). Larkin’s practice utilises a variety of media which include painting, sculpture, print, book arts and installation. Themes related to time, place, narrative, sense and understanding, as well as themes of nature and technology. Larkin’s works are often imbued with a quite sense and stillness or emptiness accentuated with an emphasis on nature. He currently lives and works in Ireland.
