In this series of seemingly unrelated images, photographer Ekaterina Anokhina allows her audience to piece together a visual narrative while flipping through a pocket-sized, very personal album. The images are quite diverse – black and white or colour, interiors or landscapes, captured with flash or abstract and unfocused – and together evoke the separation of two lovers, along with the powerful emotions this entails. Bleak, snowy scenes speak of longing and despair, while warm light and colours remind one of ardent desire and palpable memories. Includes a short case study by Inga Metreveli which analyses the subject, her symptoms and diagnosis.
